Support and additional services are just as important to the customer as a high-quality product. Increasingly, customers are demanding total solutions that run for the entire product lifecycle. To meet these demands Schroff has expanded all its pre-sales and after-sales services and combined them into the "ServicePLUS" programme, which comprises eight modules.

One of these modules is called ServicePLUS modification and offers the customisation of standard products from the catalogue to individual specifications. Standard products have two major advantages: ordering them is simple, and they can be delivered quickly. Often, however, products must be modified or adjusted to specific circumstances. With ServicePLUS, Schroff modifies standard products to individual requirements, for example by drilling holes for lamps, LEDs and switches or cut-outs for connectors, providing consoles and offering special colours. This gives the customer a standard product yet an individual solution - fast and cost-effectively.

This ServicePLUS module also includes a front panel customising service called Front Panel Express. Customers may calculate the cost of individually-made front panels using the online calculator on the Schroff website. First, basic data for the panel is entered - for example height, width, number of holes and cut-outs, required level of EM shielding, type of finish, lacquering and screen printing (number of colours) and accessories are selected (types of sleeve and collar screws, shielding material). The customer opts whether the accessories are to be assembled or not. By then clicking on the "Calculate Price" button, a table of prices for various quantities and possible delivery times is displayed. Clicking the "Send PDF by e-mail" button will send a PDF version of the quote immediately to the customer's e-mail address.
