Schroff GmbH at CeBIT 2010: Hall 12, Booth C 80

Schroff GmbH, one of the leading manufacturers of electronics packaging systems, will present new products for the equipping of data centres at this year's CeBIT from 2 to 6 March 2010 in Hanover. Together with a hot and cold aisle containment system based on components of the VARISTAR cabinet platform, Schroff will present its complete range of networking and server cabinets and related accessories.

The 'Retrofit' containment concept from Schroff can substantially improve the cooling efficiency even of existing computer rooms while simultaneously reducing energy costs significantly. Modular, standard components allow a containment structure to be fitted flexibly around existing rows of cabinets. This enables server cabinets from different manufacturers and of differing heights and widths to be housed accurately and securely without high design outlays. Top cover elements with flexible fixing options link the parallel cabinet rows and seal the aisle from above. Gaps between cover and cabinet that may arise due to different cabinet heights are fully sealed with blanking elements.

In addition, Schroff will present its custom solutions for data centres in a new brochure of over 20 pages. Titled "IT Infrastructure: Custom Solutions for Sustainable Data Centres", the brochure includes the entire range of products, components and services related to the equipping of data centres.

In a new white paper on the subject of "Efficiency comparison of heat dissipation in data centres" Schroff has published interesting facts and presented a variety of design concepts. Cooling efficiency and costs were examined for three cooling concepts for the same heat dissipation. Average investment costs and ongoing running costs are also examined and compared. This white paper is available on Schroff's website http://www.schroff.co.uk/datacom for download.
